BEDAHKASUS.ID – (PRINGSEWU) -Wajah-wajah lama masih mendominasi pencalonan anggota DPRD Kabupaten Pringsewu pada Pemilu 2024. Rekam jejak prestasi dan pengalaman saat menjadi anggota dewan menambah nilai jual para petahana untuk bisa kembali menggaet simpati masyarakat.
Kader PDI Perjuangan Suryo Cahyono adalah salah satu kandidat petahana yang meramaikan kontestasi politik pemilihan anggota legislatif DPRD Pringsewu. Suryo akan berebut suara dengan kandidat lain di daerah pemilihan (Dapil) 4, meliputi Kecamatan Ambarawa dan Pardasuka.
“Dengan niat tulus, tujuan baik dan di tempat (dapil) yang sama, restu dan dukungan masyarakat yang diberikan sangat berarti dan penting untuk bisa diwujudkan. Bersama kita kawal, awasi dan koreksi program-program pemerintah demi kemajuan daerah dan kemaslahatan masyarakat Kabupaten Pringsewu,” ungkap Suryo kepada wartawan, Senin (15/1/2023).
Anggota Komisi I DPRD Pringsewu ini mengaku optimis bisa mengulang kesuksesan di pemilihan legislatif sebelumnya. Dimana dia akan kembali berebut suara di dapil yang telah memberikan banyak suara yang mengantarkannya ke Gedung Dewan sebagai Anggota DPRD Pringsewu periode 2019- 2024.
“Konsolidasi dan diskusi yang selama ini dibangun dengan masyarakat telah menghasilkan banyak perubahan. Di tempat yang sama kita seragamkan niat, kita optimalkan dan bersama-sama kita lanjutkan dan wujudkan,” kata dia.
Lulusan Sarjana Hukum di Universitas Atmajaya, Yogjakarta ini mengaku tetap menjaga komitmennya untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan hidup para petani. Selain isu pembangunan dan infrastruktur, mantan Ketua Serikat Tani Indonesia (Sertani) fokus pada pengawalan dan pengawasan program-program pemerintah di sektor pertanian yang juga menjadi salah satu visi misi pencalonannya.
“Bersama kita kawal program pemerintah yang mendukung para petani. Baik itu kemudahan untuk mendapatkan pupuk, sistem pengairan yang baik dan lancar, serta dukungan pemerintah terkait pemasaran hasil produk pertanian,” tutupnya.
