BEDAHKASUS.ID -(PRINGSEWU)-Calon anggota legislatif (Caleg) DPRD Pringsewu Yuniarti mengatakan masyarakat harus memiliki bekal literasi digital yang cukup guna menghindari pemberitaan hoak dan disinformasi selama masa pemilu. Menurutnya hal tersebut kerap menjadi pemicu konflik yang membuat perpecahan.
“Jelang pemilu seringnya marak penyebaran berita hoak di medsos. Bekali diri dengan perbanyak literasi digital menghindari kesalahan dalam memilih,” kata Yuniarti, caleg muda asal Partai Golkar yang maju di Dapil 4, saat berkunjung di Kantor Forum Komunikasi Wartawan Kabupaten Pringsewu (FKWKP), Sabtu (13/1/2023). “Saring sebelum sharing,” imbuhnya
Perempuan yang akrab disapa Nia ini mengatakan peran penting kawan-kawan jurnalis untuk memberikan informasi yang mengedukasi masyarakat dengan berita-berita yang disajikan. Diantaranya pemberitaan-pemberitaan tentang aturan dan tata cara pemilihan selama proses pemilu berlangsung.
Lebih lanjut Nia mengatakan kedatangannya kantor FKWKP menjadi momen penting mewujudkan pemilu yang gembira dan bebas hoak. Terlebih, peran media dalam penyampaian visi misi para kandidat sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjangkau masyarakat pemilih.
“Selain memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat dengan berita-berita yang akurat dan objektif, peran media sangat dibutuhkan untuk para caleg mengenalkan diri dan menyampaikan visi misi ke masyarakat,” ujar Nia.
Ketua FKWKP Bambang Hartono mengapresiasi upaya para calon anggota legislatif yang aktif menyampaikan visi misi melalui pemberitaan-pemberitaan di media. Masyarakat akan menjadi paham dan lebih mengenal sosok yang akan dipilih terkait program kerja dan komitmen para calon kandidat.
“Diharapkan masifnya pemberitaan tentang visi misi para caleg di media bisa memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi pemilih pada pemilu 2024,” tutupnya. (*DIMAS MR*)
